Hold on to your hats people, Quiz night has returned!!
Sharon and myself are greasing up our thinking caps and charging up our braincells, ready to do battle with the quizmaster and the local eggheads. Tempers may get frayed and blood may get spilt, so we need all the help we can get!!!
There will be lots of questions, lots of answers and lots of glory to aim for!!!! Come and join us for much head scratching, wild guesses and baffled expressions. If all this sounds like too much hard work, then feel free to join us for a pint or two and good company!!

Please try and contain your excitement but the pub quiz night is back!! How about amazing us all with your random knowledge and joining Original Mike and I at The Ship Inn? We will be there just after 7pm to grab a table and with our pen poised, waiting in anticipation for the quiz to start at 7.30pm. It costs no more than £2 to play so if you wanna come along it would be great to see you there, just let either Mike or myself know by Monday 24th October 2011 :)

We haven't been here for a while, so we thought it a great idea to check it out once again! This Thursday you will be able to find us at Gala Bingo at Lordshill from 7.30pm for a free night of Bingo, although if you want to include High 5 it will cost you £2.50 to play. Drinks are usually cheap and we dare you all to keep up with the professional blue rinse bingo brigade!
Meet outside at 7.15pm with your membership application form; you might need some form of ID to be able to sign up if you haven't already. If you have - bring your membership card.

We take one lush, green forest and a healthy dollop of breathtaking scenery; blend with a smattering of tree-top high wires, tricky crossings (using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire) and wind-in-your-face zip wires; finished off with a liberal dose of people in search of their inner Tarzan.
We kit people out with harnesses, pulleys and karabiners, give them a 30 minute safety briefing and training and let them loose into the forest canopy, free to swing through the trees. Of course, instructors are always on hand, regularly patrolling the forests (not in monkey suits unfortunately!)

This week as another calendar filler we're off to the Shooting Star to sample their Quiz Night.. They seem to have Real Ale on offer for the whole night, so that might convince you to take your useless knowledge and underused braincells with you to the pub! We're going to be there from about 7.30pm and hope to see you all there!

I know you have been waiting for this one.. The Eurovision Song Festival 2011! This year from Dusseldorf Blue will be representing the United Kingdom.. We are celebrating this massive event at Karen's (the other side of the track) this Saturday the 14th of May from 7.30pm, feel free to dress up in your own country's colours, bring something to drink and snack to share and we're going to have a whale of a time!

Just a gentle ride starting at Brockenhurst Train Station. Can we meet at Southampton Central Train Station (Costa Coffee side - not Toys are Us) and take the train to Brockenhurst . From there we don't know where we're going but we can decide before we get there. 
We could go to Beaulieu which is a nice ride across from Brock. Stop for a bite to eat or an ice cream by Hatchet Pond and then.......... where ever the wind may take us!
Or maybe we'll go somewhere else. Either way, it'll be a lovely, relaxed day.
It is though, weather dependant.

You can follow the Walk the Walls sign posts and panels and give yourself a guided tour of Medieval Southampton. Take a free walk of the Old Town with Southampton's Tour Guides.
90 minute tours of the old Norman Town include the gates, walls and unique medieval vaults
I've left enough time for lunch afterwards for those of us that fancy that too. It is of course optional.
Please note; can you let me know if you'd like to partake in the walk as I'll need to pre book if there's more than 8 of us. There may be a small charge but I'll let you know this before booking.
