Saturday 17 March is officially St Patricks Day.
As I have two Irish cats, Paddy and Lyffee; (and you can’t get much more Irish than being named Paddy) (and Lyffee was named after the River Lyffee in Dublin); I thought it would be fun to celebrate all things Irish with an American Irish Supper Party. We are going to eat, drink and be merry little leprechauns.
Fun starts at 7 pm.
Bring Irish food to share. ( I will provide some jacket potatoes).

Well, you have been waiting for this one and it happens to coincide-ish with my birthday, so we can kill two birds with one stone (or two flies in one clap): The SHQ Inn is done with the refurbishment (part one and two) and we would like to invite you all to come and have a look.. Yes, we did say we wouldn't go for cream carpets, but as we are allowed to change our minds.. This will be a 'Shoes Off' party, so make sure your socks are up to scratch.. Feel free to bring a bottle (we have a massive wine rack to fill), we will take care of the entertainment and nibbles.
As usual, the tub is open for business too, so bring your trunks and a towel if you want a dip.
Would be great if you could let us know if you are planning on coming along!

Great News - Jongleurs is back in Southampton and we have been able to obtain a nice discount (2for1ish)! So, if you want to come along for a night full of laughter with a proper boogie afterwards let us know as soon as possible. We would need your monies by Thursday the 29th of September (club night) so we can make use of this offer and go for a fun night out on Friday the 21st of October.
The evening will offer us 4 comedians on the night and entrance to Oceana afterwards. This used to be a great night out in the good old days, so we are expecting nothing less this time around!

We know.. It's a little early, but to be able to book us all in for a very nice and affordable Christmas meal we had to make some decisions and take some action! At this moment in time we don't need you to pay up yet (but you are of course allowed), but we do need numbers! Please put your name down as soon as possible. The table is booked for 10 people at the moment and we can get more spaces, but only if we know that you are coming for sure.

I know you have been waiting for this one.. The Eurovision Song Festival 2011! This year from Dusseldorf Blue will be representing the United Kingdom.. We are celebrating this massive event at Karen's (the other side of the track) this Saturday the 14th of May from 7.30pm, feel free to dress up in your own country's colours, bring something to drink and snack to share and we're going to have a whale of a time!

Event update: we've just changed the date on this one and we've decided to incorporate a bbq (bring whatever you like on it), made it Keira's Graduation Party (party hats?!) and we're still going for the Chocolate Challenge.. So, come along for a late afternoon barbie with chocolate dessert. Rest of the 'instructions' are as they were:

The South Western Arms is organising a Spring Beer Festival with over 50 beers, ciders and perry! It's over the whole weekend and we are planning on going on Saturday the 21st of May from 2pm onwards. As usual it is free entry, hot pasties available and you can collect your own festival glass.
As you know, the pub is just a stumble away from St Denys train station, so easy to get to..
Come out to play and sit in the sun with us?!

We know you have been waiting for this one - The NaFoF Annual Bday Barbecue! And this year we are celebrating our two and a quarter birthday.. As last year's party was such a great success (see pictures here) we are going again to Royal Victoria Country Park on Saturday the 30th of July from 11am until 4pm. Same place as last year; barbecue area Laurel. Tickets are £5 per person and we'll provide the barbecue, food and entertainment.
