The Great British Experience - Twenty20 Cricket (T20) Hampshire Royals v Essex Eagles

Event Date & Time:
27/06/2010 - 14:30 - 17:30

*STOP PRESS* Due to the unexpected success of the England football team the start time of the cricket match has been brought forward to 11:00am and will finish around 2pm ish. After the excitement of the cricket you can stay at the ground and watch the football on the big screens at the ground. We will meet at the ticket office at 10:00 am. Let me know if you are coming by emailing me through the contacts section on the User List, I am the Harley riding teddy bear, and I'll look out for you. Members can text me using my number in the payment section below. If you are going to arrive later let me know and I will try to save you a seat. Bring a picnic! You can bring alcohol into the ground but sorry, no glass bottles.  Cheers for now. Smokin' Steve. Ah, the sound of leather on willow. Cheese and cucumber sandwiches. Old men in panama hats. Gentle applause. NOT! Twenty20 cricket is the fast paced all action version of the real beautiful game. Three hours, 120 balls, 20 wickets to get. DJ's, pop music, fairground rides, competitions - you get the point. This is cricket for people that don't do cricket. Come along and watch the mighty Hamphire Royals, home of Kevin Pietersen, take on the stiletto heeled Essex Eagles (wonder if there is an Eddy?) at the Rose Bowl, West End. Bring a picnic, some beer (or buy from the various bars / food outlets at the ground) and enjoy the action. Tickets are £20 each on the gate, a little cheaper in adavnce if you want to risk the weather. There are various options to get to the ground, follow this Rose Bowl link, buses, trains, park & rides, park & walk...

Let me know if you are going and I'll see you there.

Smokin' (trying to quit!) Steve
