We have tested this site with several browsers as identified from the following independant list based on market share.
http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
Most browsers are free to download and use there is no reason not to try alternative browsers and see if others better meet your needs; security, performance & features.
We have tested this site with Apple Safari (S) 3.1, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (IE6), 7(IE7) and 8 beta 1, Mozilla Firefox(fx) and Opera 9.2. (the symbol in brackets indicates the symbol used on the above page). We suggest using the latest stable version of any given browser.
The site is designed for a minimum of 1024x768 resolution screen, it is very common now to have resolutions far in excess of this; a full HD TV is approx 1920x1080.
Please be aware that many browsers such as AOL, Maxthon and others are infact Internet Explorer with a new interface over them, therefore they may report themselves as Internet Explorer.
There are some known issues with a few browsers:
Apple Safari 3.1 - fonts appear thicker, almost bold
Google Chrome - no known issues.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 - No transparency on images at the top of the page (logo sits in a white block rather than grey graduation), round corners on plus logo are jagged, user mgmt scripts run slow. This browser is widely regarded as insecure - for your own data safety please upgrade immediately. Great browsers are now available for free.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 - no known issues
Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 - no known issues
Mozilla Firefox 3 - No known issues
Opera 9.2 - Opera 9.x ignores valid CSS and uses Times New Roman rather than Aerial. AJAX opening of menus is ineffective. Menu icons do not line up correctly, user mgmt scripts run slow.
All browsers functionally work with this website, due to the enhanced presentation and rapid performance we recommend Mozilla Firefox 3 (It's just a shame so many websites have ignored the standards that we're supposed to be working to and optimised for Internet Explorer, which adheres to few standards correctly). IE8 will start to rectify this issue.
www.getfirefox.com - Firefox 3 is one of the fastest most standards compliant browsers available!
