Terrifyingly Terrific Tuesday

Dont panic......... I know its fashionably late, but its finally arrived..... The cunningly disguised as a Tuesday, Monday blog.....

As our all powerful Chairman has wisked Rich off to sample the sunny delights of Cape Verde, (Not jealous in the slightest), it has foolishly been left to me to update you on the goings on of the last week and the potential shennanigans of the near future, in the wonderful world of NAFOF.

Last Tuesday, we welcomed some new faces (Jonathan) and some old but very welcome faces to the Ship Inn at Old Redbridge for our Quiz Night. Ian had recently given out his bank details to a very kind Nigerian gentleman who had kindly offered to deposit millions of pounds into his account via the internet, so we called ourselves 'The millionaires Club'. Amazingly we kinda won.... well a moral victory anyway...... we came second to a team who blatantly used their magic phones for the answers and were named and shamed by the quizmaster.

Monday 11th July 2011

I have not included the word marvellous in this week's blog for obvious reasons. For those of you who are not aware, there was some tragic news at the weekend. NAFOF member and Rich's Sister, Helen Morton, was involved in a road traffic accident and very sadly passed away I would like to add my personal condolences to Rich, Kirsty and his family and friends at losing Helen in such shocking circumstances and at such a young age. She will be sorely missed and may she rest in peace.

I will keep this brief but If you need an update on whats happening this week, please check the calender for more details and for any booking deadlines etc. There is a club night on Thursday at the South Western Arms and Vanessa is hosting her chocolate challenge on Saturday.

Signing off with great sadness

Mike

Terrific Tuesday 26th April 2011

Hope all you Easter Bunnies have recovered from the excessive sunshine and chocolate? Mmmmmmmm chocolate....

Fashionably late Tuesday(Verging on a Wednesday) greetings to you all, from your dedicated (Some may say Medicated) stand-in temp. The all powerful chairman has been whisked off, yet again, to somewhere exotic (Possibly Italian), so you are stuck with me, once again!

Anyway, what happened last week? It was jam-packed with NAFOF'ers doing what they do best... having fun! We enjoyed a variety of wholesome and not so wholesome activities.... dont ask.....On Wednesday we headed down to Leisure World to sample the film 'Source Code' This apparently involved Time Travel and repeated train journeys... or in a nutshell, Commuting? Or am I missing something??

Terrifically late Tuesday

Good evening Boys and Girls. Hope we've all survived the Valentines' Day Massacere intact, with only a tiny smattering of broken hearts and a much larger overdose of chocolate bullets, sprayed by those gangsters of lurve....... Mixed messages I know, but im only a temp, standing in for our all powerful chairman.....Mills and Boon will not be calling me back anytme soon.....

Before I go on, please be upstanding and wish the lovely Kirsty a Happy Birthday. 21, yet again.... Which is why ive been left alone in charge of the keyboard(Will they never learn?), whilst Rich whisks her away somewhere exotic to celebrate.

Ok, what did we get up to last week? On Thursday we trapsed down to Trago Lounge in Portswood for our club night, a bevvy and a chat and to put the world to rights. Im sure a good time was had by all.

Tantalisingly late Tuesday

Evening all. The understudy has been let out of his cage once more, to regale you tales of fun and frolics in the world of NAFOF.

Last Wednesday we tagged along with Hannah to watch 'Shrek Forever After' in glorious 3D. Bet it was fabulous. You just cant go wrong with a film about talking donkey's, talking cat's and a bald green ogre. Marvellous.

At the weekend, Paul guided us up some trees to spend some quality time with some Llamas at the 'Larmer Tree Festival' near Salisbury. Being allergic to wool I just couldnt take the risk, but apparently there were also a few musicians, comedians and other artists to distract you, if you're not the humble Llama's number one fan.

Terribly late Tuesday

What a week. Mysterious volcanic eruptions in far flung lands, leading to mass disruption and mythical stories of 'invisible ash' grounding those big, fat, flying machines we know and love . The mild mannered Nick Clegg triggers mass swooning and hysterical scenes of 'cleggmania' to rival the Beatles. Pinch me if i'm dreaming. All that and i'm expected to step in to the breach to write another fashionably late Terrific, but a tad late Tuesday wafflefest... who'd of Adam and Eve'd it???

Last week started early on a Sunday, with a very religious offering. Paraletic Mike delved into his sumptuous and outrageous wardrobe yet again, and outdid himself with a very 'cheeky' bare bottomed Monk ensemble at Reflex, to help 'not celebrate' his advancing years. Im sure all those Vicars and Tarts had a fabulous time..... best not to ask though, just say 10 hail Marys and pray for forgiveness.

Terrific Tuesday.... the new Monday.... again.....

Good evening my little Questarians....

Dont worry guys, our super chair person Kirsty has returned (Yippee), so its back to a marvellous and timely Monday blogging with a dash of huggles, and lots of grammer, spelling and piccies from next week. This will be my last shambolic, and im ashamed to say late offering, until I have spent at least six months on the naughty step, and thought about what I have done.

What did we get up to last week?

Terrific Tuesday.... the new Monday

If lateness were a crime id be a lifer........ Apologies for the lateness of this blog but everything comes to he who waits....

So, what were we up to last week, I hear you cry?
Wednesday saw Gordon,Sophie,Hannah and smoking Steve venture down to Oxford Street in an attempt to find some tasty and cheap 2 for 1 pizza at Pizza Express. To their dismay, they were told there would be up to an hour's wait to fill their empty stomachs..... they couldnt wait so hightailed it round the corner to Prezzo. General consensus was that food was classier if a little heavier on the wallet, and we may be tempted to try this place again when the next Orange Wednesday comes around.

Marvellous Monday (on a Monday!!)

Howdy folks. Hope your Monday is marvellous and not just manic. I have suprised and surpassed myself by actually writing this mini blog on the correct day. Bet our 'All Powerful chairman' wishes she was still in freezing cold blighty and not in baking hot Africa, to witness this historic event!!??

Anyhoo, ill make this brief and to the point and will not be using any colourful coulours or snazzy pictures to illustrate my points as I am merely a bloke and only a temp.... SIGH. The web mistress may see fit to tart it up a little if you are really impressed by that kind of thing? :)

Last week was a little quiet in NAFOF land, but we still managed to squeeze in a little rolling up, down and into walls, with the 'skate master'. Looking forward to more of the same this Friday, combined with some fabulous dance moves 90's style. Speak to smokin' Steve if you want to wheel yourself along.

Marvellous Monday on a Tuesday

Its a new year (well Chinese anyway), so you have a new host. That's right, you've guessed it.... Kirsty is off sunning herself in deepest, darkest Africa, so ive been called into the breach to do her donkey work...... and fashionably late at that!!!

Last Monday, we had lots of fun getting our skates on and shaking our money makers (at the same time!) and rumour has it, one or two of our crew are getting rather good. If you wanna join us give Steve J a shout as this has become a regular Monday night event.
