Terrific Tuesday.... the new Monday

If lateness were a crime id be a lifer........ Apologies for the lateness of this blog but everything comes to he who waits....

So, what were we up to last week, I hear you cry?
Wednesday saw Gordon,Sophie,Hannah and smoking Steve venture down to Oxford Street in an attempt to find some tasty and cheap 2 for 1 pizza at Pizza Express. To their dismay, they were told there would be up to an hour's wait to fill their empty stomachs..... they couldnt wait so hightailed it round the corner to Prezzo. General consensus was that food was classier if a little heavier on the wallet, and we may be tempted to try this place again when the next Orange Wednesday comes around.
For the film 'The lovely Bones' that followed the grub, Gordon was replaced by yours truely to maximise the SHQ squad rotation system. The tale of a young teenage girl, murdered by a paedoohile in his own homemade, underground, den, was a tad disturbing. Although this was not nearly as disturbing as Sophie's revelation that her mobile ringtone used to be the theme tune to Benny Hill..... yikes........

On Friday, we didnt quite get to party like its 1999, Mo'roller style.... another time maybe?
On Saturday, we started on a sporting theme. Smoking Steve watched England lose to Ireland, up close and personal in 3-D at the cinema. Sophie also watched, but in the flesh at Twickers. The appeal of men playing with their odd shaped balls, never seizes to amaze me.......
In the evening, myself,Tine,Donna,Bev,Debbie,Hannah and Smokin'Steve donned our Rasta gear and our dreadlocks and  shuffled our feet in unison to Legend at the Brook who did a fab impersonation of Bob Marley and his wailers. A good night was had by all. Some danced all night in the mosh pit, others swayed gently and I got very confused as to how Bev could be in two places at once.....

Onto this week.....
On wednesday its 'let get Quizzical' night at the London Hotel, for the monthly quiz night. Let Steve F, know you are coming, so you can give your brain cells a damn good thrashing, and try and help your club to a little glory and a dash of fame. Or at the very least try not to come last....

On Thursday, our very own cuisine queen is taking us for a curry at the taste sensation that is 'Cafe Mumbai'. Mmmmmmm curry.... Let Vanessa know by Wednesday night if you are are coming along so she can reserve you a plate.

On Friday, Tine is taking us for a singsong and a pint (and/or a cocktail) at the fabulous Shooting Star pub in Bevois Valley. Rumour has it, its the new Frog and Frigate. Let Tine know you are coming so she can look out for you.

If you still have the energy left, the weekend is your oyster. Wanna fill it with pearls??? Add something to the calender and you never know!

Last but not least, Steve F (Singing and/or Ski-ing Steve) wants to know ASAP if you are coming to help warm up his flat on Saturday 13th March. Please let him know by this Saturday 6th March, so he can get his supplies in. You have no excuses. Remember.... you know where he lives..... :)

Karen U, sorry you missed Sir Bob and his donoughts 'with Jammin'. Hope you are feeling better and welcome to the wonderful world of facebook..... Bev, ask your 'evil twin' to wear different colour clothes to avoid confusion and Debbie good to see you back in the fold.
