Marvellous Monday 7th of June 2010

Good Evening Party People! Apologies for the slight lateness of this newsletter - the website was down for a bit as the server had some issues. Your webmaster had a long chat on the sofa with our Server Lord and all is well now (thank you Peter for such a speedy response!). So, what happened last week? Well, we had a very yummy meal in Wonderland with lots of NaFoF'ers - veterans and newbies alike. You can find a little review here (new feature on the website!!) And on Saturday we had a very memorable day at AllSports during our Annual Pool Competition. For a full report have a read here (some pictures are viewable for logged in members only).

With this new feature we don't have to add photos as a 'comment' on events, but we can load any image up (create content - image) and / or write a review (create content - review). You don't have to add (all) pictures in the review - they will be linked to it in Gallery (of the event, not the review). It would be great if all event organisers or whomever wants to write a review (only 50 words or more if you want to) also adds in who was there for the event, as this will help the committee with some fun statistics (yes - we do love them!).

Bet you want to know what is coming up this week.. Well, you need to book and pay up for NaFoF's First Belated Bday Party by this Thursday. It is only £5 a ticket and we already have 20+ people booked in. The bbq is booked, the gazebo requested, the games are in progress of being set up and my Thunderbird outfit is nearly complete! What do you want to be when you grow up?

Also on Thursday we need you to book in and pay up for Kayaking in The New Forest. This event will take place on Sunday the 15th of August and cost you only £28pp. Make cheques payable to 'Laura Hunt' and she'll book you in. Don't miss the deadline, as you will miss out..

So, it is quite convenient that we have our next Club Night at Trago Lounge on Thursday. We'll be there from 8.30pm for another pint and natter. It would be great to catch up with all of you! We might have another few newbies coming along and maybe even some returning.

On Saturday it is time for World Cup Fever with England and Original Mike. Let him know that you are coming along, so we can look out for you.

On or before Sunday you will have to let Hannah know what film you'd like to watch on next week's Orange Wednesday. Have a look at the posting for your choices.

And as I am not sure if I will be back on time (read sober enough) to post on time next Monday - We'll continue our Footie Watching in the afternoon for the first Holland game (again, let Original Mike know!) and in the evening we will be skating our socks off for Mighty Mo'Roller. Let Smokin' Steve know that you will be rolling along and he will look out for you (hopefully he will look out and not crash into you).

Other marvellous events for your calendar: The Chichester Real Ale & Jazz Festival on Friday the 9th of June (get your tickets now before they sell out). And have I mentioned before Katie Melua will be headlining?

SteveSki is still looking for more people to raise some money during the Charity 5-a-side Football Match on the Common.

Smokin' Steve would like to know who's coming with him for the next Great British Experience?!

And Paul is going to the Lamer Tree Festival weekend of the 16th of July and he invites us all along! This looks like another event you don't want to miss out on - a weekend full of music, comedy, art, food, drink & camping!

Rest me to say; Michaela - good luck on Saturday with your Race for Life. Feel free to add it to the calendar with your sponsor link. Karen, congratulations on the move! Helen, congratulations of taking the trophy home and Ian - looking forward to you coming out to play again!

Have a great week & see you all Thursday at Trago Lounge!
