Marvellous Monday 5th of July 2010
Good Evening Lovely Party People! Well, it was another week in NaFoF Land.. A load of us went to Kutis on the Pier and had a great time (although it might have not been on the right floor). Read the event review here. And another load of people (some the same and some not) had Pimm's, cake, strawberries, cream and barbecue at Karen's House Warming. As you can see we have this fantastic new feature on the website! Everyone (well, when you've paid your membership) can now not only post events, but also write event reviews! How do you do it? Well, you log in, create content and hit event review. Give it a new title and link it to the event you are writing about. And off you go! When you hit send, it comes to your Web Mistresses who have a sneak preview before approving it for all to read. And how do you find it when it has been approved and written? Well, it could be that you get a notification, it will be in Recent Posts or you can find it at Related Pages on the top of an event posting (which is found on the calendar).
Anyhow.. This week is a busy one, so we better get on with it..
On Tuesday (tomorrow) we will be going to visit the King Alfred pub near St Mary's for some more Orange Footie! We'll be there from about 7pm and keep our fingers crossed (which will make it difficult to drink, but we'll try both anyways).
On Wednesday we're off to The London Hotel in Oxford Street for our Monthly Quiz. We'll be there from about 8pm if all goes to plan. Please let me know if you are coming along, so I'll make sure I'll be there too..
On Thursday we have a two part evening. From 7.30pm your NaFoF Committee will meet at Trago Lounge for a bit of a meeting and behind the scenes gossip (all welcome to put in your 2p) and from 8.30pm it will be our normal fantastic Club Night. There will probably be some more newbies around, some newbies are about to sign up and you can pay up that evening for the Riverboat Shuffle and Psychic Supper. And that same evening it would also be a good idea to let Karen know if you want to come along to the Comedy Bar 5th Birthday and Jeremy Hardy - both at the Nuffield Theatre in October.
On Friday we're off to the Chichester Real Ale and Jazz Festival! Get your ticket now and let us know that you are coming along and if you want to stay over at Helen M's too!
On Saturday it is time for SteveSki's Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament on The Common from 1pm. Please let him know by Wednesday this week if you are playing along.
Saturday evening Tine is taking us to The Brook for some Ska from 8pm. Also let her know that you are partying along and we will look out for you!
And on Sunday you'll need to let Hannah know if you are coming along to Orange Wednesday where we will be going to watch Shrek Forever After in 3D. And that same day, we're going to Ringwood for the Pedal Car Grand Prix!! You can still sign up for this, so book in with Hannah as soon as possible!
Well, that was it for this week - there is enough to do and it would be great to see you all there!
Rest me to say; Helen B; have a safe flight & come back soon! Mark; did you have a good time on the wrong floor? And Hannah (and Smokin' Steve); congratulations on the move!
Have a great week & see you all soon!
