Happy New Year!!! Hope you all survived the festivities and are ready to rumble! There is lots and lots coming up and also lots to discuss so get your diary out and start planning.. Last week we went to see Sherlock Holmes, which was very funny and might actually been brilliant, but I might have to watch it again to be sure.. Helen B & the gang went to celebrate New Year's Eve at The London Hotel and it sounds like you all had a great night (Mike T - have you found your phone again? It's in your jacket..) And we went to celebrate 2010 at the Mo'Club for some very active Mo'Roller. We had such a great time that we have decided to take lessons - starting this week..

First things first; welcome to all our newbies who have been added to our website in the last few weeks. We are looking forward to meeting you all soon! Also Happy Birthday to Delene (Wednesday the 6th) and Rob (Sunday the 10th)! We wish you a fantastic day and let us know if you want us to organise a party for you.. Other great news: we have offered membership to Gordon, Abbey, Jayne, Karen, Christelle, Skiing Steve, Bernadette and Jean! So fill in your membership form and hand over your hard earned cash as soon as possible.. When done, your account on the website will be upgraded and you will be able to post your own events (amongst other additional features).

For all our members; please log in and vote for your Favourite Film of 2009 and your Favourite Restaurant 2009. The restaurant that comes out on top will be awarded the NaFoF Best Food Award 2009 (fab idea Hannah!!). Your film choice will give us an idea of film genre you like.. So please vote today!

Karen looked into Burns Night for January, but the night she found is at Dock Gate 4 and they are charging about £40 a pop.. Karen and I thought we might give that one a miss, but if you do want to go - book yourself in.. Or if you can find a cheaper alternative - let us know (or just post it!).

Karen is also looking into going to Timbuktu in 2011 (and I thought it was a made up country like Neverland) - this festival looks absolutely amazing, so have a chat with her and more details will follow soon!

If you rather go skiing in 2011 - speak to Rich, Skiing Steve and / or Laura.. You'll never know; we might get them to organise it..

Helen B came up with another excellent idea.. Anyone interested in a Tomato Food Fight in Spain this August? Have a look here and here and speak to Helen (and others) if you are interested..

And on top of that she also wants to Go Ape in 2010! Well, we can't let her Go Ape alone, can we?! So have a look here if you don't have a clue what this is and we'll set a date for this.

So.. That brings me to today (Monday).. We are going to the Mo'Club for Mo'Roller lessons from 7.30pm. Smokin' Steve and I are definitely going - so see you there?!

On Wednesday the lastest you will have to let Vanessa know if you are coming along to Cafe Mumbai this Thursday. Table is booked for 8pm and you do need to book in. So when you are sharing our table on Thursday - bring your cheque book for the Butlins deposit (£25pp) and for One Man Lord of the Rings on the 7th of March (the reviews of his One Man StarWars were excellent!). Hannah would also like to know this Thursday if you are coming along to the Sunday Jazz Sessions on Sunday the 17th of January. She'll need to book a table - so please book yourselves in with her (payment on the day).

On Saturday we are going to drool over the one and only Johnny Depp - all welcome from 5pm at the SHQ Inn. Bring your favourite Johnny film, nibbles & drinks and it might be an idea to bring an extra pillow to sit on..

Next week or before you will have to let Brenda know if you are coming along to our Day Out In Bath (with or without Spa Day). The more people we get along the better it will be, as we are planning to go by train. More info can be found here.

And last but certainly not least... Send your nominations, constitutional changes and add-ons to Mike T on or before the 15th of January as our first Annual General Meeting is coming up. It will take place on Thursday the 11th of February and we need you all to be there to get your club sorted for another year!

Rest me to say; Dapper - you have been spotted! Bev, loose any more weight and there will be nothing left (you look fabulous though!)! And Ade; glad you haven't vanished..
