Marvellous Monday 25th Jan 10
Hello Dear Rockies and Magnetas! It was another busy week in NaFoF land and you have surely enjoyed yourselves one way or the other.. On Monday the gang went to Mo'Roller and had a great time, on Tuesday a stack went to play Badminton (Rich is still catching his breath), on Wednesday Mo'Jive was a little lonely due to Original Mike having car troubles (his current one is now a proper people carrier!), on Thursday I missed being at Que Pasa due to lateness at the airport, but heard that a few of you have been anyways (hope you found each other!) and on Saturday.... What a show.. What a party! There were some scary people at the after party and we must have scared some others too... I have now found the camera cable, so will be posting the pictures soon!
Not sure if Original Mike told me last weekend if he's putting on another badminton this Tuesday or if he was talking about next week (the music was too loud in Flares - that's my story and I'm sticking to it!). If it is this week - I bet he will post it later today and we'll send out notifications to everyone, so you can shuttle along.
On Wednesday it is time again for Pizza&Film with Orange Wednesdays (2for1 on Film and Pizza). So bring your codes with you to PizzaExpress; dinner at 7.30pm and the film is another George Clooney - this time Up in the Air at CineWorld from 9.15pm (meeting there at 9pm). Contact Hannah to book your plate today if you haven't done so already..
On Friday you will have to let me know if you are coming along to the 3for1 Bday Party Meal at Mango Tai Tapas Bar on Thursday the 4th of February. Everyone already booked in - I will email you all this week personally with more details.
Also on Friday you will have to let me know if you want to Quiz along on Wednesday the 3rd of February - you can leave a comment at the event posting on the calendar (members only).
And on Saturday it is finally time for our Day Out in Bath. Unfortunately, Brenda is not able to make it due to family circumstances (we'll miss you & will be thinking of you!), so you'll have to do with me as your host (please remind me to buy a map!). Please let me know by Friday if you are coming along - at the moment people booked in are: Vanessa, Ian, Leanne, Michaela, Original Mike, Rich and me - there is room for more! Please meet at the back entrance of Southampton Central at 9.45am! We will try to get cheaper group tickets, so all Southampton travellers need to be there at the same time.. The train is leaving the station at 10.10am and we'll pass Salisbury Station at 10.40am (Ian, you can stay over on Friday if you want or join us there). All bring your swimming gear if you want to join us at the Spa and please please please confirm with me that you are going, so I can book the Tai Restaurant for the evening. We'll be training back at 9.30pm!
In other news - there is one spare ticket for the Chippendales on Friday the 12th of February! Let me know if you want to grab that one (only £18!). And you can still book in for The Great British Experience - Cheese Rolling taking place weekend of the 29th of May (book yourself in via the link on the event posting and let Hannah know you are coming along too).
February looks a little bleak and empty at the moment.. Vanessa, could you post the club night? Original Mike, can you post Mo'Jive? Smokin' Steve, I bet you (is it really you?) will post Mo'Roller! SkiSteve - could you post and host the Quiz for the first Wednesday of March (this time no food, unless people go and sort that themselves with the London Hotel)? And everyone else - have a think and post some weekend events please.. We wouldn't want your social calendar to be empty, only because Rich and I will be out of the country for a couple of weeks, now would we?!
Anyhow.. Rest me to say; Brenda, we hope your dad is going to be okay! Sophie, bring us back some sigars! Karen, were you able to get me another ticket? And Ian, we like Leanne!!
