Marvellous Monday 24th of May 2010

Aloha Dear Party People! What a week what a party... We skated our socks off last Monday at the Mo'Club - hopefully another one will come up again soon. Helen B's Bday Party was a total blast! She not only looked stunning as always, but very bubbly as well. My camera conked out after only 3 pictures, so I am hoping to steal Vanessa's memory card soon. The cocktails kept flowing, the guests were plenty and all lovely, the entertainment was hilarious (beer in wig - that's a great idea!) and now we know why we needed to bring a bread roll! Helen, thank you so much for letting us share your birthday with you! It was a marvellous night! On Friday SteveSki went to The Brook with his posse and they swayed the night away, Antony & Cleopatra was enjoyed by many. And on Saturday we received a text from one crazy (good crazy, not bad crazy) NaFoF'er as he was enjoying the World Custard Pie Throwing Competition and he might have even signed us up to take part next year.. (I'm in! Are you?)

So, tomorrow (Tuesday) we're off to the Concorde Club for a Charity Quiz Night - let me know if you want to come along, as we still have space in our team and we'll need the additional brain cells!

On Wednesday it is time again for our Orange 2for1 film dose and this time we're off to The Vue in Eastleigh to watch Robin Hood. Be at the entrance at 8pm with your code (or without if you don't have one).

On Thursday we are going to be at the Trago Lounge in Portswood (next to The Mitre) from 8.30pm for our Summer is Here Club Night. There will be around 8 newbies joining us that evening, so it would be great if you all could make that night too! To all newbies - if I haven't send you my mobile number yet, so we can find you - I will be emailing you tomorrow.

On Friday we are invited to come along to a Hog Roast Party - the price includes your very own plate with roast! Please contact Sylvi if you are wanting to come along.

This weekend it is time for our Cheese Rolling Trip (without the cheese). There is still a room available if anyone (two) want to come along. Contact me as soon as possible! It only cost you £19pp (based on two sharing).

And there are lots of events we need you to sign in for, which you can do on Thursday in person, so we can get it all organised for you:

June's Thursday Food for Thought at Boozy Rouge on the 3rd of June - a special request from Helen, who will probably dress up as the Mad Hatter. Let Vanessa know that you would like a plate too!

The 'annual' Pool Competition returns on Saturday the 5th of May and we would like you all to have a go at becoming the next NaFoF Champion!

Tickets for our NaFoF Birthday Party are selling fast at the moment - we need you all to get your tickets as soon as possible, so we can organise the games, food and entertainment for you. As you know it will take place at Royal Victoria Country Park on Saturday evening the 19th of June. Tickets are only £5pp and we will have the barbecue hot when you arrive. Don't forget to raid your parents closet.. It's going to be a silly one!

We are also planning on Kayaking in the New Forest and we like to know who would like to come along, so we can set a date and time.

You can still buy tickets for the Real Ale and Jazz Festival headlining Katie Melua in Chichester on Friday the 9th of July. Let us know when you've bought your tickets and if you need floor space to crash on afterwards.

And we would like to mention the 5-a-side Charity Football Competition - organised by our own SteveSki who is looking to raise lots of money for another worthy cause. Playing is free, watching is free and all contributions will be greatly appreciated!

Well, you might have noticed that there is lots and lots more coming up this summer, but I think I am done for today.. There will be World Cup Football Matches on the calendar soon (mainly England and The Netherlands - feel free to add other fixtures), the Pink Ball is coming up again later this year and it is finally proper barbecue weather!

Rest me to say; we're looking forward to meet Dawn plus one, Paul, Becky, Mark, Christelle, Rob, Trevor and everyone else who is curious to meet us this Thursday! Ade, who won the competition and do you have pictures? Kevin, it was nice to meet your friend. It was great to see Rowena return and Helen, once again, thank you for a fantastic evening!

See you all later this week!
