Marvellous Monday 1st Feb 10

Aloha Bathers & Floaters! Well, last week was another one for the NaFoF history books.. On Monday we went for another Mo'Roller - and we are getting better and better at standing up. On Wednesday the pizza and film was enjoyed by many (it is such a good deal!) and on Saturday we went to Bath Spa to have a bath in their spa.. The journey over was interupting our sleep as the train was so full that we were contemplating to sleep in the luggage racks. Leanne enjoyed her hangover under coats and bags in the corner. Arriving in Bath, Vanessa knew exactly where to go, so we had breakfast at the nearest Wetherspoon (no, the wine bottle was not filled with wine - it was just an order number).

After breakfast we found the spa, had to wait a while before we went in, so were discussing our next trip without actually been inside.. But when we did get inside - it was all worth it! The roof top pool is one I'd like at home (you think there will be some space left next to the hot tub?), the steam rooms were pretty steamy (you should have seen Ian baking.. eh.. steaming). After being properly cooked and cleaned we went to find the famous Sally Lunn Buns - needless to say; we found it and ate our hearts out (easy on the cinnamon next time please). It was late afternoon when we decided that it would take too long to wait for dinner, but we could take the train back to Southampton for dinner there.

After a very quick bevvy (good thinking Michaela!), another train journey from hell followed (this time, half way through we luckily all found seats and were able to catch up on our sleep and some reading). When we arrived in Southampton, Rich decided that he didn't want any food, so we made him watch us eat.. We went to the Indian under the 'ship' building across from central station and the food was marvellous! Even better the company - we went from 'Diced Goat' in your coke to using coke when you have 'Burnt Pants'. We had a few Meerkat moments and of course the wonderful weirdness of the non-digestive sweet corn and peas came up too. Now we know for always and always that it is healthy to have floaters and not sinkers (or was it the other way around?).

Well, i guess you should have been there... No worries - we've enjoyed ourselves so much that we are planning on a Bath Spa Twilight Trip within a few months!

So.. this week... Again tonight (in less than 30 minutes) we'll be going for Mo'Roller with Smokin' Steve.. See you there?!

On Tuesday Original Mike will take us for another Death by ShuttleCock! Please let him know that you are coming along, so he can look out for you.

Wednesday it is once again time for our Monthly Quiz Night @ The London Hotel. The quiz starts at 8ish.. There are quite a few of us going. See you there?!

On Thursday it is time for the 3for1 Bday Party Meal at Mango Tai Tapas Bar. We will be early celebrating 3 February birthdays (Bev, Sophie & me). There will be 20 of us going and if you haven't received a confirmation email from me over the weekend - you are not on the list.. Please be aware that if you are on the list and cannot make it; you'll have to cancel with the restaurant itself (as I rather don't want to get stuck with the bill).

As for the weekend.. there is nothing planned (yet). So feel free to organise and post Laughing

Have a great week & see you all soon!
