Marvellous Monday 17 Jan 10
Good Evening Chinese Checkers! Last Monday saw us once again at Mo'Roller for more fun and frolics. Hannah is leading at the moment with the best bruise in town! Don't let that scare you - Smokin' Steve missed the whole thing and was able to stay vertical - this event is getting rather popular and will be on our calendar for quite a while. Mo'Roller got rained / snowed out, so we're trying again this week and on Sunday we gained another member; Skiing Steve cought up and is now a fully fledged member! Well done and welcome to the in-crowd :) and we met Alex for the first time. Welcome Alex, it was really nice meeting you - we hope to see you back soon! We had a nice meal at the White Star, the jazz was a little loud, the bloody mary's plenty and I can't remember who won the doubles drafts game.. There was quite a few people there and we discussed more things to do. We should do this more often!
So today (Monday) we're off once again to the Mo'Club for our Roller Boogie fix. We'll meet you there with our skates on at 7.30pm.
Also on Monday (today) you will have to let Mike Spud know if you want to play along on Tuesday on the badminton court - yes it is the return of the Death by ShuttleCock! Be at Fleming Park just before 7pm, so we can make sure that we are using the full hour. As said before; no profs there, so everyone will be able to join in!
On Wednesday you can shake your booty at the Mo'Club for Mo'Jive. Let Mike Spud know if you're coming along, so we can look out for you. We'll be there from 7.45pm for a night full of swing.
On Thursday we're off to Que Pasa for the 2for1 Cocktail Night. We'll be there from 8pm and please note that if you turn up after 9pm they do enforce an entree fee (it's not that much, but good to know). Also before 9pm they offer 2for1 tapas, so if you are peckish.. A little bit of Salsa dancing is not outside of the realm of possibilities, so it already looks to be a good night out.
Also on Thursday we'd like you to book in for the 3for1 Bday Meal on Thursday the 4th of February and it is the last possible day to book in and pay up for The Department of Smelling Pistakes (Tuesday the 13th of March) - loads of us are already going and the theatre is filling up, so don't miss out on this funny event..
On Friday there is nothing on the calendar (if you feel that there should be - feel free to post your event)..
And Saturday it is finally time for the Rocky Horror Show!! I have tickets for Bev, Hannah, Ian, Mike Spud, Paraletic Mike, Ade, Leanne and myself. As the show starts at 8.30pm we will meet up at Joe Daflo's around 7.45pm and everyone else who thinks it is better to travel in packs (being dressed up and all) - you're all welcome at the SHQ Inn from 5pm where we will be doing make-up for everyone, have some Dutch Courage and take a train over to central.
And on Sunday Hannah would like to know if you are coming along to Orange Wednesdays (Food and Film - 2for1) in the week after.
Don't forget our Day Out in Bath and there is one spare ticket for The Ultimate Girls Night Out!
You can still book yourself in for our Cheese Rolling Experience (you know you want to!) which is still only £19 per room per night, so it wouldn't break the bank too much :)
Well, that was it for this week (pffffff)! Rest me to say; Ian and Alex; want feeding on Thursday? We'll be home from 6pm! Ade, looking forward to see how much you have changed! And Gordon; it's time to fork out!
Have a great week & till next!
