Marvellous Monday 15th Mar 10
Jambo! (hello in Swahili) How are you all doing? Reading the Terrific Tuesday's you had a fantastic time! I would like to thank Mike the Original for his wonderful writings and blooming blogs. And of course we also congratulate him on becoming as young as Ian.. So, what happened last week? Well, One Man Lord of the Rings was enjoyed by many, Newton Faulkner was an intimite affair and Steveski's HouseWarming Party was great and lasted almost until the sun came up. Anyone any good and / or embarrasing pictures? There is room to post them!
There is lots coming up, so let me start with this week and follow on with some more event announcements:
On Monday we're not planning on going to Mo'Roller as our Skate Master has taken our Film Buff to sunny Cyprus. However, if you would like to go - let me (and everyone else) know and we might see you there!
If you don't have a ticket for The Department of Smelling Pistakes on Tuesday (organised and hosted by Karen), you can come along to Another Gig at The Talking Heads (organised and hosted by Tine). If you are coming along to the Nuffield Theatre, meet at 7pm in the Studio Bar for a drink.
On WEDNESDAY it is once again time for a bit of a club night where we will be celebrating St Paddy's Day in style. Anyone wanting to start drinking early - contact Rich as he will be around that area having St P Celebration Drinks straight after work, just come along from 8pm at The Duke of Wellington if you want to know what your new committee is up to and a bit later if you rather just come along for a pint and a chat. It would be great to catch up! And if you are a newbie - this is a great night to meet some people.. Feel free to drop in!
Please let Helen B know on or before Friday if you want to come along to They Will Rock You on the 16th of April.
And I would really like to know what you would like to see and eat next week on Orange Wednesday, so please leave a comment here.
You can still book in for Whole lotta Led, Faithless and even for our Cheese Rolling Weekend.. Yes, we know that the event itself has been cancelled, but we are still planning on going and make it into another fantastic weekend away! So, let's discover Gloucester together - I bet there are lots of pubs!!
You can also still book in for The Canterbury Tales and Antony & Cleopatra at The Nuffield Theatre. I haven't booked the tickets yet, so please let me know by Thursday the latest.
And last, but not least.. We need to discuss our trip to The Isle of Wight Festival..
There is lots more on the calendar, but feel free to fill up any empty spot!
Rest me to say; Debbie, heard you came out to play - shame I've missed it! Will you come out again soon? Hannah & Skate Master Steve, have a wonderful holiday - could you bring me back some haloumi? And Helen B, back from your travels yet?
Hope to catch up with you all soon & see you this week!
