Marvellous Monday 10 May 10

Jambo Questarians! It is awfully quiet this week.. We're recouperating from last week and are getting ready for the next! So, last week saw us very jolly outside during Rich's Bday Party. It was great fun (didn't I tell you last week?) and Michaela & Alan - Rich loves the T-shirt you got him; it's bound to become his next favourite! Last Wednesday you could have gone to The London Hotel for the quiz, if you weren't one of the 18(!) people at Rancho last Thursday you have definitely missed out (sooo yummy!), it was very nice to meet Rowena for the first time (we don't usually have under 30s at our dinner table, but we didn't want to leave Oscar at home), you could have been sleeping in a Yurt and you could have partied the night away at Sam's Bar. I hope you didn't miss out and had a great time!

So, this week (I did say it was a little quiet) we will be going to The Duke of Wellington on Thursday. We will be there from about 8pm for a mini committee meeting (everyone welcome of course) and 'normal' club night will resume from about 8.30pm.

On that same evening we need you to book in and hand over your monies for the Charity Quiz at The Concorde Club which takes place on Tuesday the 25th of May. We have almost one quiz team booked in and are happy to book in more! It will cost you £10pp which includes curry (veggies or carnivores - everyone is catered for).

Also this Thursday you can get your tickets for NaFoF's First Bday Party on Saturday the 19th of June. Tickets are £5 each and will include food and entertainment. Read the posting on the calendar to find out the theme and what other silly things we might get up to.

I hope you all have let Helen know that you will be celebrating her big birthday with her on Thursday the 20th of May - if not; contact her now! There might be some space left..

As mentioned before; Helen M, Rich and me have already bought our tickets for the Chichester Real Jail and Ass Festival (eh.. that is what I called it last week while I was emptying the fridge of left over bottles of wine) and are wondering if you want to come along too. Katie Melua is head lining and it promises to be great night out! Helen is offering floor space for the night! Find more information here and book your own ticket now!

And of course we will be celebrating the end of Cowes Week with Fireworks on the Isle of Wight again this year! It will be on Friday the 6th of August and we are planning on an afternoon / early evening on the beach with our own picnic. Wanna come along? Please let Vanessa know!

Well, that was it for this week.. There is nothing on the calendar for this weekend, so if you feel like going out for a pint and a chat - post your heart out! Rest me to say; Welcome back Brenda and Pat - it was great seeing you both again! Smokin' Steve; when is Mo'Roller starting up again? And Original Mike - shall we attempt to fill the calendar with some of the England and Holland World Cup matches?

Have a great one & see you all on Thursday at The Duke!
